All seasons are beautiful such as this view taken in late fall. The cherry table has two more leaves and two more chairs. |
Winter sun showing the main living/dining area. Note the satellite TV/VHS/DVD nestled between the two sofas. When there is a chill outside the gaslog fireplace makes things so cozy. |
What do you mean ? You only want to read or play games. Books are in the book shelf along with games. |
The kitchen area looks small from here but you will see how big it can be in the next pictures. I think I will move to the kitchen and get a snack. |
Cooking supplies are conveniently located here. Extra dishes and glasses are in the cupboard at the right. Keys for the cupboard must stay, you will understand. The outside deck adjoining this area has a gas grill, large table with 6 chairs and a lovely sheltered view. |
This is the entry to the bed and bathroom areas. The pram is grandma Bodvanski's and the scooter belongs to grandpa. The sled is decorative only, do not try it. |
The master bedroom also has an adjoining private bath. A large closet with extra pillows, blankets, storage and hangers is to the right. The sheets and pillow cases are in the linen closet. Bob Timberlake bed has a companion beautiful Lexington bureau. A surprise will greet you over the alcove in this room. You can tell we love nature when you see the pileated woodpecker print over the bureau. You will hear our pileated outside, you may be even lucky enough to see him. |
The master bedroom Lexington chest and entry to the master bathroom. The print could be of our pileated woodpecker. (but it is not) |
Guests will enjoy the brass bed in the "rabbit" room. More lovely lexington furniture and mirrors in this room. If you look out into the woods, you may also see other rabbits. |
This guest room also is furnished with Lexington furniture. There are more rabbits somewhere here. |
I love my jacuzzi bath tub, located off the master bedroom. One could spend hours here. Towels and wash cloths are in the linen closet. |
The guest bath opens from the main hall just around the corner from the laundry. This bath has a shower, sinks were made nearby by "The Barking Spider". |
Finally ! Let's eat ! Wine with a snack ? OK ! |
View of the whole house. We usually rent out only the top. The bottom may be used for additional accomodations only if needed by these same renters. |
This is no cabin ! This is an Eagle Nest house. It sits on 15 pillars and has 15 sides with no supporting interior walls. Quite unusual. You may have to adjust to the non retangular inside rooms. |
Look at those pillars ! Someone wanted to be absolutely secure on that mountain. The decking is located where it will not interfere with your view. |
This fellow is waiting for you to arrive. He loves stinky sneakers left on the porch and will take one down to the stream to wash it. He also waits for you to put garbage bags on the porch so he can remove any food. The time we left a spare set of keys in a zip lock bag under a rock for some friends, this guy found them and riped open the bag looking for food. This sure was a mistake. |
